On June 21, 2025, the third edition of the Global Seafood (Shrimp) Trade Fair 2025 opened in grand style at Area D of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Held concurrently was the Liang Zhi Long (LZL) • 5th China Cantonese Cuisine Ingredients E-commerce Festival 2025. As a premier annual event for the global seafood industry, this year’s fair aims to bring together global seafood resources, promote trade connectivity, and build a world-class seafood trading platform.
From the very first day, the venue was bustling with activity. Professional buyers, foodservice operators, distributors, and seafood enthusiasts from across the Greater Bay Area and neighboring regions gathered to source ingredients and seek business opportunities at this grand seafood celebration.

At 10:00 AM, a formal opening ceremony was held.
Distinguished speakers included Wu Li, Vice President of the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry; Paul Ponce, Commercial Attaché at the Consulate General of Ecuador in Guangzhou; Tran Anh Khoa, CEO of ANH KHOA SEAFOODS; and Zhu Changliang, CEO of Wuhan Liang Zhi Long Food Material Inc. and Founder of the China Food Ingredients E-commerce Festival. They highlighted the fair’s vital role in upgrading the culinary scene in the Greater Bay Area and facilitating global seafood trade and supply chain integration.
Zhu Dong, Vice President and General Manager of the International Business Division at Liang Zhi Long (LZL), introduced the company’s overseas initiatives, including the LZL Indonesia Seafood Procurement Tour, LZL China Enterprises’ Strategic Visit to Malaysia, and the upcoming LZL Global Food Trade Fairs 2025 in Vietnam and Indonesia. She emphasized LZL’s commitment to helping Chinese food brands expand globally, promoting the globalization of Chinese cuisine and the Sinicization of global ingredients.
The opening ceremony was followed by several rounds of strategic partnership signings.
LZL signed international cooperation agreements with Vietnam Queen Media & Event JSC, the Cold Chain Supply Chain Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Industrial Empowerment Center of the China Condiment Association, Seafood Frontier, Jiangxi Gan Cuisine Promotion Association, the Food Industry Productivity Promotion Center, the Ecuador-China Chamber of Commerce, and Shanghai Food Link & Frozen Products Vision. A global supply chain agreement was also signed with Indonesia’s largest shrimp company, BMI (Bumi Menara Internusa).
LZL’s subsidiary, Zhengzhou Four Seasons Shihedao Network Technology Co., Ltd., signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Henan Meat Industry Association to jointly host a Global Meat Industry Expo. All signing partners and participating overseas exhibitors were honored with Strategic Partner plaques.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by 16 distinguished guests, officially marking the opening of the 2025 Global Seafood (Shrimp) Trade Fair.
The exhibition hall immediately turned into a lively marketplace. At booths hosted by international suppliers such as Camimex Group, SEAPRIMEXCO – VIETNAM, and SIAMAGRO – FISH INTERNATIONAL GROUP, offerings like Ecuadorian whiteleg shrimp, Thai giant tiger prawns, and Vietnamese black tiger prawns attracted major attention from attendees. The fresh texture of the shrimp, combined with unique dipping sauces, earned enthusiastic praise from tasters—many of whom exchanged contact details or entered in-depth discussions with suppliers on the spot.
Domestic exhibitors including Liang Zhi Long (LZL), Shenlu Food, Haitang Food, Dongou Food, Huilong Aquatic, Guanyi Food, and Baiyang Co., showcased a diverse range of cost-effective products such as prawns, macrobrachium rosenbergii, shrimp meat, shrimp paste, abalone, and sea bass. These products drew substantial interest from buyers—both domestic and international.
In front of booths, crowds came in waves to sample the products, while behind the scenes, negotiation tables were fully occupied with buyers and suppliers deep in discussions. The event’s high-quality seafood offerings were warmly received by buyers from the Greater Bay Area, setting the stage for a wave of innovation across the region’s foodservice sector.

A series of vibrant and high-profile activities took place throughout the day.
In the 2025 International Chef Shrimp Cooking Competition, nearly 100 top chefs from China and abroad competed in categories such as ingredient application, cooking techniques, seasoning, and presentation. With shrimp as the centerpiece, chefs crafted a dazzling array of visually stunning and aromatic seafood dishes.
The competition drew many professional culinary visitors who eagerly exchanged ideas with the chefs, asked about ingredient sourcing, and captured the highlights on their phones. The exceptional craftsmanship and creativity on display earned high praise from judges and hotel executives, signaling a move toward more premium and internationalized culinary trends in the region.
At the Buyer-Supplier Matchmaking Session, suppliers introduced their products before entering one-on-one, targeted meetings with potential buyers—dramatically improving efficiency and reducing procurement costs. Multiple initial cooperation agreements were reached on-site, with some entering the sample-testing phase, reflecting the event’s strong results.


In the afternoon, two industry-leading forums were held concurrently.
The 2025 Global Shrimp Industry Development Conference was filled to capacity. Zuo Xintong, CEO of Shanghai Food Link & Frozen Products Vision and Executive Secretary of the Shrimp Procurement Committee of the China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance, presented a deep-dive analysis of the Global Shrimp Industry Development Report, exploring market trends, technology evolution, and global trade dynamics.

Speakers from organizations such as the China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance, Union Group, Yuhu Cold Chain, Frozen Products Vision, and Shrimp Farming World magazine shared their perspectives on smart aquaculture, cold chain value enhancement, emerging trade routes, and best-seller R&D frameworks. Shrimp producers from Ecuador, Vietnam, and Indonesia also shared operational experiences, aiming to contribute to the global development of the shrimp industry through quality products and sustainable collaboration.
At the 2025 International Food Cold Chain Supply Chain Summit, five industry leaders from the International Chamber of Commerce Cold Chain Committee, Guangdong Cold Storage Industry Association, SciFeel Logistics Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Tongwei Zhida Technology Co., Ltd. delivered insightful presentations on topics such as:”Going Global: Indonesia’s Refrigeration Market and Business Entry Strategies””Breaking the Ice: Cold Chain and Beverage Globalization””Preserve • Manufacture • Win-Win: Cold Chain Drives Food Processing Value””Smart Transmission and Dense Storage Technologies in Cold Chain Logistics””Food Safety: Application of Irradiation Technology in Food Processing”

These sessions provided valuable guidance on expanding cold chain services into Indonesia and enhancing the intelligence and efficiency of food logistics.
The Global Seafood (Shrimp) Trade Fair 2025 is not only a feast for seafood enthusiasts but also a crucial platform for advancing cooperation across the seafood and aquaculture industries in the Greater Bay Area.
